J'Sea OPEN HOUSE - Jan.15,2011
Had a great Open house , sharing many stories and jokes with some of my Crew from 2002 forward to now.
I will be starting to reflect from 2009 to present over the next few months.
I am very busy working on the marketing project www.blueheronmarinaestates.com
J'Sea is almost rebuilt and so am i. I look forward to being back on J'Sea this coming April or May.
Will be sailing the South Pacific this season , ending up in Australia.

Lots of things have started - I decided that since it is a 4 year journey that J'Sea is on and many places there will not be any real assistance or equipment, i have ordered
#1- New rudder Bearings , even though there is normal play on the rudder
#2- New Cutlass bearing, even though only a little play on the Shaft.
#3- New batteries
#4- New 3 year anti-fouling
#5- Complete Electrical checkup .
#6- Complete Rigging Survey
#7- Installation of the Fisher Panda 12 KW diesel Generator
#8- Installation of Village Marine WaterMaker producing 11 gal. per hour.
#9- installation of 2nd Plotter at Navigation Station
I am sure there are more items that i will put on J'Sea , the above items should be completed in 2 weeks and if not then after the RODOS Cup in Aug.,2009

Finally in Marmaris, Turkey - June 22, 2009
The OPEN House was a great Success, we had 25 people who were exchanging stories and talked about joining J'Sea at different legs on the 4 year journey.
After a long series of flights i finally arrived in Marmaris, Turkey.
It really feels good to be back on J'Sea again, It got quite dirty in Marmaris Yacht Marine durn the winter, but no damage to J'Sea just a lot of dirt. . It took just 2 days to get things working and clean again. I think about another 3 day's should having like HOME once more.

IPhone as a Plotter - March 21, 2009
This 3G IPhone with 16 gig is fantastic , I just downloaded the whole mediterranean area for $ 64.99 usd and is very readable. Now i wait until i arrive in Marmaris, Turkey and take J'Sea out for a little coastal sailing to check out GPS with the charts for that area to see how accurate it is. This is a back up to the back up, oh you got to love these electronics. J'Sea

Offshore Weather Course - April 18th through April 25, 2009
Myself , Ashala & Irene are taking this 4 day course , so we can effectively use my Marine Radio with the new Pactor 111 modem to get daily weather reports around the World as we enjoy the next 3 years of offshore Adventures.
